“American Monsters,” AM Coast to Coast
George Noory is the man.
The paranormal man. This engaging personality broadcasts from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM, about the paranormal. No matter how outlandish the guest’s story, Noory treats it as though he were interviewing someone about the most normal thing in the world.
It’s almost surreal. Part of me could welcome insomnia if it gave me an excuse to sit up at the witching hour (3:00 AM) with this show.
Last Tuesday, he hosted J.W. Ocker, author of The United States of Cryptids. A “cryptid” is a creature whose existence is supported by evidence (of some sort) but is not acknowledged by mainstream science — basically, monsters.
Noory and Ocker go through a huge list of these monsters by region or state.
The Northeast: The Gloucester Sea Serpent. The most-documented cryptid of all time.
