A great thing about having seven kids in today’s world where technology changes faster than a confused 12-year-old in California?

The kids let me know about worthwhile tech things. I don’t have to pick through the digital flotsam.

I learned a few months ago that Spotify will create a playlist from any song. I’ve been enjoying Warren Zevon’s “Bo Diddley’s a Gunslinger,” so I asked Spotify to create Bo Diddley’s a Gunslinger Radio.

I wasn’t disappointed. Every song was decent, some were very good.

And a few were great:

“California Blues,” Alejandro Escovedo

“Waitress in the Sky,” The Replacements

“Blue Money,” Van Morrison

“What Kinda Guy,” Steve Forbert (of “Romeo’s Tune” fame . . . for those from the 1970s)

Bo Diddley’s a Gunslinger Radio also showed me more of the Amazing Rhythm Aces. I’ve long enjoyed their “Third Rate Romance” but never knew they had other good songs. Especially recommended: “The Ella B.”
